2 months today (and 9 weeks on Monday!)

Miranda had her “2-monthversary” today and we celebrated by attending a friend’s son’s first birthday party *Ethan Brown* and eating chocolate cake (Daddy ate it, Miranda stuck to her milk!).  Having put on a spectacularly smiley show for everyone – Miranda was wiped out when we returned home in the evening.  Here are some pics after her bath !

Miranda in a spotty top at about 6 weeks old (Thanks Suzie Nelson!), which made her smile :

She then found her own smile in the mirror at 7 weeks !

And now at 8 weeks old – sleeping on Mummy’s knee .. she just can’t stop smiling !!

Mirandas Birth Announcement… her announcement went into the local rag – along with Paul’s photo he took whilst we were in hospital.

We’re going to be an Aunt and Uncle twice over

Hot off the press!  Paul’s brother Lee and sister-in-law Shelley are expecting an ickle baby in February 09 as they are currently 13 weeks pregnant.  This means that the “Mc-Hickey clans” had three wives pregnant all at the same time – me, then Jennifer Hickey and now Shelley McCormack !

We are thrilled for them – and can’t wait to be an Aunt and Uncle again!

(Jennifer Hickey is due next – early September, so watch this space !! )

Our first wedding anniversary !

Hull Daily MailOur Paper Wedding Anniversary was recently celebrated in style. Such a happy first year, and a gorgeous daughter to show for it! Being Paper – we were lucky that presents were easy (Cotton next – any ideas?).  Paul presented Deborah with tickets to a show – Billy Elliot – with music by Elton John.  We had our first G&T together in almost a year, and a fabulous night out (Sorry we left you behind Miranda – & thank-you for babysitting grandparents!!).  Set in Newcastle where we first met, the Australian/Geordie accents were hilarious and the music & dancing really were sensational.  A fantastic evening.

Knowing that Paul likes to get into the papers – Deborah wrote a silly article as front page news for the Hull Daily Mail (Paul’s home town).  On Monday 18th, Deborah presented Paul with it in a frame that now hangs in our study!
