7 months today !

Miranda is 7 months today!

7 months

Can’t believe it!  She had her first swimming lesson the other day.  Paul and I enjoyed it as much as (if not slightly more) she did we think!

Playing with Angus (one crawling, one sitting!)

The children had fun today… it was really lovely to see them interacting together.  So much more interested in each other.

(uh-oh!)

Bank Holiday 2009 (Australia Day Long Weekend)

Two years ago today Paul proposed to me up the Sydney Harbour Bridge!  We’ve spent the entire weekend chilling out and taking it easy.  Now Miranda is more ‘portable’ as she’s awake for longer we’ve been taking advantage of the local cafe’s and restaurants.

On Friday night we introduced her to some lovely Thai people.  On Saturday we showed her an Aussie pie shop in Beescroft (she drank from a big girls glass).  Sunday we stopped for a coffee in Wahroonga – the Coonaburra Cafe (she experienced lime and soda – what a face she pulled!).  On Monday we picked Paul up after his bike ride and introduced her to some Chinese people as we had  lunch (she liked the Chopsticks!)

Slightly larger – but well rested – we’re feeling really good having had a wonderful  long weekend (with just the three of us !)  See pics of Miranda here

An educational trip to the NSW Art Gallery….

Miranda and I had a quick trip to the NSW Art Gallery this morning.  It was really lovely to get out and have a mooch around at some art.  I also totally adored seeing my favourite painting again and introducing Miranda to it!  (She was suitably impressed as you’ll see from the pictures).  Obviously I wasn’t meant to take any pics, but I didn’t use flash and so thought it was okay!

Although not with us for the art-viewing, Paul managed to join us for a quick lunch before heading back to the office.  Have a look at the illegally taken photos of Miranda’s first trip to the Gallery!

Koala Encounter

Miranda had her first encounter with a koala the other day.  Although more interested in the eucalyptus leaves than the furry thing attached to them … she did suddenly discover the koala after a while and gave it’s fur a ‘little tug’ to say hello.

Check out the pictures in our Gallery here.
